VS Lignite Power Private Limited (“VSLP”) is a power generation company located in the Gurha Village, Bikaner District of Rajasthan and is presently operating a 135 MW (1×135 MW), lignite-based power plant, located at Gurha Village, Bikaner District, in the state of Rajasthan. The plant was commissioned on 30 March 2010. The power plant gets its lignite from Gurha East lignite mine owned and operated by the Company.

VSLP is presently owned by Blue Ashva Capital, an Alternate Investment Fund that is backing sustainable and long-term profitable businesses which are solving real challenges and building lasting value in core sectors.

Till March 2021, VSLP has generated about eight billion units of power utilizing about seven million tons of lignite. The power generated is supplied to the State of Rajasthan via their Discom’s grid.

Gurha Village, Bikaner District, Rajasthan, about 5 km from NH 15 connecting Bikaner & Jaisalmer.

Fuel

Lignite from Gurha (East) Lignite mine, about 3 km from the plant site

Water

From Indira Gandhi Nahar Pariyojana (IGNP) Canal, about 50 km from plant site.
